Thinking about rides , when I wrote about the minebuster in yesterdays gratitude , I figured it would be neat to acknowledge rides I love . So many memories.

Unfortunately in the middle of a panic attack , so today I am going through things I love. Normally you are to look for 5 things to concentrate on to help talk you down but I am going with 10. Of course there may be some repeats (try not to ), from past days but it is  what it is.

Today I am grateful for what I see outside .

3) I am thankful for the swirling thick fog outside my window. Makes you think of Magickally stepping in and being taken away to another time, plane . Love the look of fog and how it casts an eerie but Magickal scene . Thank you thank you thank you

5) I am thankful for the beautiful homes I see around me , one day again . Thank you Thank you thank you

On one of those days where you completely failed as being a mom , what better fit then to be grateful for different parts of motherhood and your children.

4) I am grateful that both of my boys are smarty pants . wink wink  Thank you thank you thank you

Day 19...365 Days of Gratitude

Today I would like to appreciate those in service.From those who put their lives on the line to those who serve a meal all deserve appreciation.  From being in a costumer service position myself for many , many years; I know how many horrible and nasty people they deal with on a daily basis and have to just take it .

1) Thank you to the Firefighters who risk their lives to save others when needed. Thank you thank you thank you

2) I am grateful to all those in law enforcement who put their lives on the line everyday. Thank you Thank you Thank you

3) I am grateful to all military personnel. Thank you Thank you Thank you

4) I am grateful to all those who work as a server in the food industry . I know what you go through , have been there myself. I commend you. Thank you thank you thank you

5) I am grateful to the many employees who work as cashiers in stores. Thank you thank you thank you

6) I am grateful to the postal workers and delivery persons. Thank you Thank you Thank you

7) I am grateful to the garbage/recycle guys. Thank you thank you thank you

8) I am grateful to government officials at the Service Canada counters . Thank you thank you thank you

9) I am grateful to real doctors and nurses who truly care for others . Thank you thank you thank you

10) I am grateful to anyone who works along side troubled individuals and who are truly there for someone in need of a ear to listen. Thank you thank you thank you

Day 18 ... 365 Days of Gratitude

Today I am grateful for things in our homes that we usually take for granted . While I have far less than most, I am grateful for everything I do have .

(cuz if you can't have fun and destroy the house , what good is there lol )


1) I am grateful for having a stove . I love to cook and bake. Doubles as extra heat while baking in the oven. Thank you thank you thank you

2) I am grateful for my table and chairs . Thank you thank you thank you

3) I am grateful for my shower, while I would love a bath tub would make toddler much happier to get clean , I still have somewhere to wash with clean water and am therefore grateful. Thank you thank you thank you

4) I am so thankful to have indoor plumbing Thank you , thank you , thank you

5) I am so grateful for my somewhat of a make shift couch . was double duty for awhile and our bed as well , but thankful to have had it . Thank you thank you thank you thank you

6) I am so thankful to now have a bed Thank you thank you thank you

7) I am so grateful for having a fridge . Thank you Thank you Thank you

8) I am so grateful for electricity in my home Thank you thank you thank you

9) I am so grateful and thankful period to have somewhere to call home . No matter the perception!!! Thank you thank you thank you

Day 17 ... 365 Days of Gratitude

1) I am so grateful for the gift of health period. I am lucky to be as healthy as I am . Minor ailments now and then but I rarely never even get a cold . I think between both my toddler and myself less than 5 times combined were we actually under the weather last year the entire year so I am so grateful for the gift of health I have . I believe health is our true state and live accordingly .

2) I am so grateful for my strong and healthy heart. Thank you thank you thank you 

3) I am so grateful for my perfect eye sight . Thank you Thank you Thank you

7) On a silly note I am so grateful for the extra internal lady parts. I have a double reproductive system which has a whole funny story attached to that . Long story short , my second pregnancy ( explains the problems with the first ) the midwife figured it out and I was the only one out of the over 400 births for her to ever come across it . So it makes me unique and I am therefore thankful for my uniqueness. 

8) I am so grateful for my perfectly functioning organs and cells  . Thank you Thank you Thank you 

9) With all my heart thank you for my strong lungs. The gift of breath is your life force so I am forever grateful for being able to breathe. 

10) I am so thankful for my amazing mind. The brain is an amazing tool and I am so grateful for mine. The thought there is so much more to tap into and utilize is beyond words for me. So cool. Thank you Thank you Thank you 

Day 16 .... 365 Days of Gratitude

Scents today are what I am thankful and grateful for. The slightest scent can invoke many feelings and can hit different levels of life's memories.

3) With all my heart thank you for the smell of freshly mowed grass. I love that summer smell . Thank you Thank you Thank you

4) With all my heart thank you for the scent of Satsuma. The very rich and potent smells of citrus fruits blended together , there is nothing better . Thank you Thank you Thank you

5) With all my heart thank you for the the scent of Vanilla . I love the smell of vanilla . Thank you Thank you Thank you

6) With all my heart thank you for the baby powder scent that was infused in Cabbage Patch Kids , when you smelled their heads. what a great memory attached to that . Thank you Thank you Thank you

7) With all my heart I am grateful for the scent of anise. Thank you Thank you Thank you

8) With all my heart I am grateful for the smell of popcorn , but on puppies paws. I always remember thinking puppies feet smelled like popcorn . Thank you Thank you Thank you

9) With all my heart I am grateful for Lilacs and how beautiful it smells in the summer to be standing under a lilac tree Thank you Thank you Thank you

10) and while there are many other scents I am thankful , grateful for and love I would not be able to smell without my sense of smell and am therefore grateful for that . Thank you Thank you .

Day 15 ... 365 Days of Gratitude

I owe the same bit of respect to another man who was there for me as child. Ben Hanley my "step" Grandfather , but there was no step from his love that is for sure .Long since past but always thought about . You continue to be in many stories and memories from my childhood.

I am so thankful and grateful to you Grandpa for showing me how to garden and instilling the love of a garden to my life and what it would bring Graciously I am forever grateful for not being on the outside and you loved both and my older brother and myself the same as all the other blood grandchildren . I will always be so grateful for you taking me to the horse races and handing me 2 dollars to make a bet with you on a horse. No I was not supposed to be there , but you snuck me in with all the older kids . I to this day remember what you said about gambling and to keep your head on straight. It is okay to have fun but not in excess.. I kept that with me and in fact I only spent 1 quarter while I was in Vegas when I was waiting for my friend to use the bathroom . I am grateful for the dangerous rides with all the kids packed in the car, in the trunk , lol You were the free-range whatever as long as they are alive Grandpa and for that I thank you . Though most things were not such a good idea when I look back , my childhood where you are concerned would not have been the same . So grateful for the harmonica and turkey in the straw. I appreciate the entire part of life you held for my childhood and always have been grandpa Hanley . I loved every time you took us some where, every long hours you would walk through the garden . Every time you would pick peas with me . Love you . Thank you Thank you Thank you

You are given the glue tabs to use and therefore do not need extra glue , which is always good, especially like my house where one project seems to drain the glue supply with a toddler .  The masks to color also come with the string with the clips so that they will not fall off.
The markers and scissors you get are great quality as well .

Day 14... 365 Days of Gratitude

On the heals of my Nana tribute yesterday , of course it fitting to continue with my Grandpa today . I am so grateful to my Grandpa . It is rare to find someone who will load up 15 - 20people into his motorhome and chart them all to Canada's Wonderland , many times during the summer. I am so grateful for my Grandpa riding the rides with us , the big rides roller coasters , he loved them and would laugh just as much as we would. I am so grateful for him holding myself and my friend down on a ride that clearly we were to small for lol , but he held us in place.  I am so grateful for Grandpa driving many times in horrible weather sometimes on closed roads the almost 2 hours to get me if I needed them , no matter what time it was . Ia m so grateful to Sunday mornings , he worked so hard all week and the lucky thing about Sunday is the pancakes, made from scratch as well as the syrup . He taught me how to make them and have been making both pancakes and syrup his way still to this day . I am so grateful to my Grandpa for always pushing us back up the hill to their home after a day at Churchill park. Nana was not the active one with us , Grandpa took us walking every where , he would even get in and help us catch crayfish and minnows. By the time we were done playing no one had the strength to walk back up that steep hill, Grandpa did and sometimes he was pushing 4 of us up the hill at the same time. I am so grateful to never seeing him angry every  only once and I can say with certainty we deserved his anger. He was warranted to get mad many times but he never did , sometimes he would be told about us and he would just smile and never say a thing .. I am so grateful to my Grandpa of his zest for life, I live ageless thanks to him . I am so grateful for how hard he worked, I am so grateful to all the places he took us to . I am so grateful to the any times we went to Simcoe or Niagara Falls to see the Christmas lights  . Love you grandpa I am so grateful for the large part of my life you were a part of . Blessed is not a strong enough word for having you and Nana as grandparents .

Day 13 ... 365 Days of Gratitude

Today is all about my Nana , though it is almost a year and a month to her passing just feel drawn to what she provided my life , so today I celebrate that .

So  today Gratitude will be in a form of a story in an way . Still 10 blessings for which I am grateful but wanted to make sure she was given a heartfelt note .

Nana, I an so grateful and thankful for the huge part of my life I owe to you . I am grateful for everytime you needed to save me and you you , or you and grandpa would show up no matter what time no matter the weather, ( even drive down closed roads due to white outs) and would come and get me , not to mention you lived close to 2 hours away . I am grateful for everytime you sat with me and we went through your old jewellery and your hope chest and I would listen to your childhood and how you first met grandpa. I loved that you would let me try on your wedding dress. After a few years when I was older didnt fit though . I am so grateful for every single outing  shopping excursion and time together. I am forever grateful for our strawberry picking trips . I am grateful for every day that we make cookies, especially the molasses ones that i still make today. I am grateful so our sit downs where we would eat a lemon meringue pie together. I am grateful each time you would ride the rides with us at wonderland , like the roller coasters and crazy rides, how you loved the swinging boat. I am forever grateful for our trips to the flea market on Tuesday nights and getting the cream puffs. I am so grateful for how much of my childhood was molded and filled with you ( and Grandpa of course) I hit the lotto with Grandparents . I am and will be forever grateful that you loved me .

Today is all about guilty pleasures you know like those TV shows you wont cop to watching , but secretly it is a huge fave of yours :)


Of course I do not need any explanation, I like what I like and you should not have to validate your personal likes .

Day 11 ... 365 Days of Gratitude

I am so not in a very grateful mood today at all to be honest . Just one of those days where you are sick of the same mundane life you seem to repeat over and over again . But of course that is more reason why I need to find gratitude especially feeling this way .
So today with hopes of setting flight to a much better life I chose Winged things .
( I do not sugar coat life and some days the gratefulness is hard to come by so why suppress it , embrace it as it is normal part of life )

1) With all my heart thank you for Chickadees. I just love and adore them , when they land on you for you to feed them , just a wonderful feeling. Oh to go back to how life was then at that moment in the picture above ..............Thank you thank you thank you

2) With all my heart thank you for Butterflies. So beautiful . My little guy got to let 2 go that were tagged for the migration, it was so much fun . Thank you Thank you Thank you

4) With all my heart thank you for Bees and all they bring to the World. Even if logistically they are no supposed to fly . Thank you Thank you Thank you

5) With all my heart thank you for the Crested Tit bird. I saw a picture on social media and this bird is adorable and so cute and the name made me giggle. Thank you thank you thank you

6) With all my heart thank you for the smallest bird on Earth ( so far of course) the Hummingbird bee. So cute and so tiny , like a real other world sized thing . I would love to be able to see one , one day. Thank you thank you thank you

7) With all my heart thank you for Unicorns. Be they Mythical creatures to most , I am still grateful to what they represent and the kiss of Magick they leave in your imagination. Thank you Thank you Thank you

8) With all my heart thank you for Aiplanes , wings of somesort , but they are a marvel and the fact people can fly through through the sky and take people every where around the world is amazing

For the life of me today , I can not get warm , at all . Entire day freezing cold today , so today is a good day to be thankful to heat and warm things.

9)With all my heart thank you for hot tubs , whirlpools , hot bath or hot shower they help warm you up . Thank you thank you thank you

3) With all my heart thank you for my trip to Russia ( CCCP at that time)  was there for about a month at 16. What a world of difference but will remember it forever,  getting left behind from first plane transfer on the way there ,getting lost on the Black Market , being spit on , drinking in an underground pub , teaching a chef to cook french fries, trust me that was a huge deal . and so so much more Thank you thank you thank you

4) With all my heart thank you for my road trip to Kings Dominion in Virginia with my oldest son when he was young . Thank you thank you thank you

5) With all my heart thank you for the beauty of Bora Bora can not wait to get there one day .Thank you thank you thank you

6) With all my heart thank you for Bran Romania home of Dracs castle and many other things as well. Will get there one day .. Thank you thank you thank you

Day 7 .... 365 Days Of Gratitude

I just am choosing things today that bring me happiness and that I like to do .

1) With all my heart thank you for crafting in general . I love to make things, and create pieces and the like that hold a piece of me. I am all for handmade , no matter what the occasion someone took their time to make it . I love how crafting keeps my imagination and creativity flowing. Thank you thank you thank you

2) With all my heart thank you for contesting. I care not what anyone says or thinks about this hobby I happen to love. I am a single mom and some of the stuff I have been able to win for my toddler has been priceless . I have also been able to donate and give away things that people are in dire need of and am able to just gift to them .Thank you thank you thank you

3) With all my heart thank you for my automatic writing skill. I love to be able to connect people to loved ones past through writing and in some cases partial possession so they can connect again . Thank you thank you thank you

4) With all my heart thank you for just vegging out and watching movies , love movies . Thank you thank you thank you

5) With all my heart thank you for my ability to bake, homemade sweet treats are the best thing ever and you can infuse love and Magick while you make and bake. Thank you  thank you thank you

6) With all my heart thank you for cooking. I love to cook and love to eat . So amazing to be able to make a hearty home cooked meal full of love. Thank you thank you thank you

7) With all my heart thank you for burning candle. I love having candles burning in my home, love the smell. I love handmaking some as well. Thank you thank you thank you

9) With all my heart thank you for walking . I love to walk . Apart from the healthy benefits there is nothing better than just taking a walk  taking the world in and seeing what you can find. I have not had the luxury to just take a walk on my own for a long time, but I can wait , just love walking . Thank you thank you thank you

DAY 6 ... 365 Days Of Gratitude

Today we are paying gratitude to 10 candies , which I happen to love and wish I had an endless supply vending machine of in my house f, so I had them for every day of the week .

1)Black Current Jellies -With all my heart thank you for Black Current Jellies . These are directly plucked out of my childhood and I have never seen them since . I have tried every single Black Current Jelly I could find over the past few decades and have never seen this candy since. Thought it was always a British Candy as it was a British inspired store we would always get them from . They came in a tiny box , opened on the side so you could shake one out at a time and they were covered in micro candy beads. I am still on a hunt and know one day I will find them . They are not jelly tots , or rowntree or any of those jellies . Thank you Thank you Thank you

2)Satellite Wafers - With all my heart thank you for Satelite wafers. I love , love loveeeee these sour powder candies. About as far religious in my life that I will ever get is eating theswe candies, as the wafers are the same as those ones ppriests give, never and would never take one from a priest . I pray to the Candy God of Candy Bubbles  Thank you Thank you thank you The ones with the powder not the beads

3)Pixie Stix- With all my heart thank you for Pixie Stix , self explanatory , need these in your life Thank you Thank you Thank you

4) Cinnamon Hearts the hot spicy ones - With all my heart thanjk you for Cinnamon Hearts . I could and have eaten these by the bag full. But not the sweet kind , the extremely hot spicy kind Thank you  Thank you , Thank you

5) Crunchie Chocolate Bar ( sponge Toffee)- With all my heart thank you for Crunchie Bar , love the sponge toffee mostly , think I need to make some and blog about that with the recipe .

6) Sour Patch Kids - I loved these the second they came out. I would get a dollar and by 100 of them and that was alot Thank you thank you thank you

7) Black Licorice babies  With all my heart thank you for these both . Thank you thank you thank you

8) Snickers- With all my heart thank you for snickers candy bars , all kinds so delish . Thank you thank you thank you

9) Fizz- Oh yeah love these candy , though I have had them lately and feel cheated and feel sad for this generation of candy eaters as there is barely any fizz in them and they are not the candy they used to be Thank you Thank you Thank you

10)Black Balls ( with the Anise seed inside)-With all my heart thank you for these awesome hard candy . sucking them till they dwindled down and checking out each layers color till you got to the end and the anise seed was the best part. Thank you thank you thank you

So I actually really love all candy , these are the ones who popped into my head , gut instinct for purpose of my gratitude today. I have no shame in being thankful for soething I love .

I think we need a nod to the way chips used to be , you know when your fingers were caked in flavour and the chips actually tasted like their flavour and flavouring was left in the bottom of the bag you could lick your finger and dip into the bottom of the bag and have flavour dust to eat .

Day 5 .... 365 Days of Gratitude

Silliness and little thing based to day . The cold wind is howling and it is a perfect crafting day and indoor play so I am channelling that. Hence today's picture .

1) With all my heart thank you for seeds beads and beads in general . I love beads ., I make so many things with them and just love working with them .( amulets, rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces   etc etc etc .) My fave are my neon and glow in the dark for my friendship pins .. Thank you Thank you thank you

2) with all my heart thank you for embroidery thread . I make friendship  gratitude, protection etc bracelets with it , love it . Also I love to cross stitch .  Thank you thank you thank you

3) With all my heart thank you for Oreo cookies. Not for me and only about the second time I have ever bought them for my toddler , but he is in pure joy right now twisting them and eating them so I am grateful for his happiness . Thank you thank you thank you

4) with all my heart thank you for the newspaper beads I hand make . Thank you thank you thank you

5) With all my heart thank you for felt and everything you can make with it . Thank you thank you thank you

6) With all my heart thank you for markers, pencil crayons, crayons, cool pencil, scented ones, oh just stationary in general . Thank you Thank you Thank you

7) With all y heart thank you for Influenster and all the free stuff I get from there to review and try , as today I received a full box of goodnights . My others were almost gone and single mom here so you can see the reason for gratitude here . I gladly review and post to e be able to try products . Well worth my time and energy. Thank you , thank you , thank you

8) With all my heart thank you for balloons. Again for my toddlers joy , but there is so much giddy fun in blowing up balloons and making them fart as the air seeps out. Thank you , thank you thank you

9) With all my heart thank you for social media in general . I am some what quite secluded for the time being and without the avenues and another outlet then just talking to the air and my toddler all day I would be nutsso by now. Thank you  thank you thank you

10) With all my heart thank you for material . I love to sew and make things . I can not wait to get my sewing machine out with some new fabric and get back to sewing. Thank you thank you thank you

Saved by Jam Tarts

 When the Mike the Knight Vikings are ready to attack and you do not have your shield; the only other thing that can save you is Jam Tarts.

So Zach and mommy had to make some to save the day . The pesky Vikings were after us and we were caught without our shields, yikes . But jam tarts came to the rescue.

So easy to make from scratch . Yes cook them yourself .
Crust :
1/2 C of  softened margarine , butter or shortening (does not matter which)
1 1/2 C of flour
Sprinkle of salt
1 TBSP hot water
Mix all ingredients together minus the water till crumbly mixture , use your hands . Add the water and form into a dough . You do not need to chill it or fancy stuff, just roll it out on a floured space and cut with a wide mouthed cup and put into ungreased, not lined muffin tins .
( you do not even need a rolling pin , I use a cookie sheet as my rolling out area , floured to stop the stick and use a tall glass to roll out the dough , thin and use the mouth of the glass to cut the circles)
Place the crusts in a 350 oven for 6 minutes , you want to brown the crusts so you get a perfect tart base before you add the filling.

Filling:
Yep you guessed it Jam .. drop by a tsp full into eat crust and put it back into the oven for about 7-10 minutes then they are done . Use whatever Jam you want .

These are great and a quick treat , esp if you have a Mike the Knight fan and make this part of play .

Mommy hand whipped ( yes all by hand ) some whipped cream , that is how I have my jam tarts , swimming in whipped cream ... It is the only of course .

1) with all my heart I am grateful and thankful for the days the Sun heats my house so warm through my huge bay windows we do not even need to use heat during the day . I love days like those . Just had one . :) Thank You  Thank You , Thank You

2) With all my heart I am grateful and thankful for the time I got to spend with my Grandfather over the holiday. There was so much turmoil and despair in my heart and life, then Magicakally with this visit I have been longing for so long , it took it all away. I could finally let go of my Nana and could finally let go of the black storm over my heart.  Thank you, Thank you , Thank you

3) With all my heart I am grateful and thankful for not checking my stove before I went to sleep last night .  If you have some OCD quirks you will know what I am talking about  and just how monumental not "checking" is . Partly learned behaviour ( thanks Nana , but time to let that go) , but also panic, control and associated behaviour in my case . But letting go of the past seemed to alleviate my panic remnants , I have more control over my life through a conscious decision, and the association is through 2 events in my life but have let them go , truly not just a suppression .   Thank you , Thank you  Thank you

4) With all my heart I am thankful and grateful for cheesecake, O h how I love cheesecake like every kind every method to make , I just love it . A way to my heart really . Thank you , Thank you , Thank you .

5) With all my heart I am thankful and grateful for Lemon Meringue Pie. I can finally let the past go as to why it means soooo much to me , but on the food side of me , I love it , the tangier and tart the lemon curd the better, and if the meringue is sky high that makes it all the more delicious . 6) With all my heart thank you for those dang toy and unboxing and surprise egg videos. Yes sometimes I need a break . It is literally not a figure of speech ion my home but real true actuality that I spend every single day , minute hour 24/7 with my toddler , soooo sometimes they babysit ( while I am in the next room of course) . 7) With all my heart thank you for Japanese candy , so much fun taste testing those. Thank you  Thank you , Thank you

9) With all my heart thank you for Charmed , Yes the TV show.. While an interpretation with a Hollywood spin , it is just a feel good show for me. It's Slime Time

 This slime is always fun. With just 1 Cup of cornstarch , 1/2 Cup of Water and some food colouring you can create both a solid and liquid slime in one batch of fun.
(addition of the sequins purely Zach s idea of creating a fun mess )
For some Science : this slime is a Non-Newtonian fluid , which basically means even though it is a liquid , it will ,can, and does act like a solid.
You can roll it into a ball, stretch it out but at the same time flows like a liquid when held loosely .

365 Days of Gratitude .... Day 1

Welcome to a New Year . A time to just re birth and start new with life. Forget all the time that has past and leave anything which does not serve you there. I have decided to take a journey this year and am writing out a Gratitude list , every day for 365 days .  Day one being today of course.
Everyday  I will be writing out 10 things I am grateful for that that day in separate posts. I ask you to join me and list your own in the comments.
I truly feel that gratitude of even the tiniest thing can change your life and bring Magick to it.
I have let it slide and I can feel the difference in my life as of late.  Here I will be able to hold myself accountable and bring the Magick back in to my life.
The posts will come at different times throughout the day when the mood strikes .

Seek out anything in your life that has brought you joy or you are grateful for , even if it is just your fork for having a utensil to eat with .

There are many people even some close to home that do not have this luxury and for me to have clean , fresh running water , I a truly grateful . 2) With all my heart I am grateful and thankful for the tradition of the coin my Nana has passed down to me since I was little. I have placed a coin outside every year during the day on Dec 31 and I have brought it in the morning of Jan 1 to always have currency , no matter the type for the upcoming year .  Thank you , Thank you , Thank you !

3) With all my heart I am grateful and thankful for candy . I love candy I always have,it has brought me joy since I was little and I use a Candy Bubble of protection and safety in my daily life. Thank you Thank you Thank you !

4) With all my heart I am grateful and thankful for my two beautiful healthy sons. They are my world and I love the beyond my life itself . Thank you , Thank you , Thank you .

5) With my my heart I am grateful and thankful for the Sun . I hold the Sun in high regard and when I need to center and help find myself I just have to close my eyes and look towards to let its warmth and glow fill me with ease , happiness and calmness. I also love getting sun kissed , and having a cute tan . Thank You , Thank you , Thank you !

8) With all my heart I am grateful and thankful for Nachos , Nachos , sour cream and salsa and mondo cheese. I love Nachos so much I could seriously just eat those along with desserts every day . 10) With all my heart thank you for Chickadees. I love those birds so much . They are so tiny and so adorable AND THEY LAND ON YOUR HAND SO YOU CAN FEED THEM .. You feel just like Snow White and it is so Magickal . If you are having a bad day and sadness takes hold just go feed the Chickadees , once they land on your hand they bring happiness .
