BEYOND THE BOOK ACTIVITY (Well there are 3 since it just felt right to add them all when inspiration struck off each thought)

MISSING YOU FAMILY MEMBER CUT OUT

What better way to include someone you are missing than making a cardboard or paper cut out of them. (You can add them to the missing photos you take of meaningful but missed events of your life during COVID.)

MEMORY ROLL HUG

Create a long paper chain for your loved one. To make it personal lay down and measure your height and create a chain that long and maybe draw an outline of yourself, if wanted. Do not forget to add arms for the hug. From here let your imagination take flight. Maybe you are missing your loved one so terribly today so draw something for them. You could have your own imagination play so draw a picture for that too. If you celebrate something and that person would normally be there but is missing, add some pictures of the event ( even add your family member cutout so they are there but not there). Write, draw, whatever you need to on your memory roll so that you want your loved one will have a personal meaningful memento when we can connect more throughouly again. You can also just use the cardboard cutout of them that you made and use the back to add all of your mementoes and thoughts to. All just personal preference.

MEMORY STORIES TIME CAPSULE

Been a roller coaster ride with the Pandemic but we are also part of History , while not just about missing someone, how cool would it be to add a lot of the memories you have shared to your Memory Roll Hug into your own Time capsule of sorts. We are living through something that would make for a great story from the child you as a Grandparent you and you could pull out and share your life moments. Not so much about your missing family member etc, but a great idea to have for yourself just in case.
